Adv Dent Mater (Pros 598A) for dental residents

This course has three primary objectives. The first objective is the development of an advanced and enhanced understanding of the physical and chemical properties of dental biomaterials and the correlation of these materials’ characteristics with the selection of dental biomaterials for clinical use. The second objective of the course is the development of an advanced understanding of how dental biomaterials behave in the clinical setting and which characteristics determine their selection and clinical application. The third objective is to expand the knowledge base into newer fields such as tissue engineering and stem cells that will likely have a significant impact on the practice of dentistry and the use of dental materials in the future.
