Event Planning Protocols

To mitigate risk associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, UMB strongly recommends that all students activities, meetings, and fundraising occur virtually. However, now that UMB is open to at least 75% capactiy, central campus is using a hybrid format for student activities, meaning “some” in-person activities will be permitted. Students must seek prior approval for any activity as it needs to be reviewed and approved by both central campus and Student Affairs.

Before planning any type of activitiy or event, students should follow current campus guidelines for events on and off campus – refer to the Return to Campus Guidance on the UMB website. Students must exercise discretion and good judgement and should consider virtual options, when possible.

UMSOD students and student led organizations and clubs interested in participating in any type of event or activitiy, must complete the UMSOD Event Registration Form.  The Student Activities Form should be completed and uploaded into the request form. Please allow at least two weeks for your event to be reviewed and approved by the Office of Clinical Affairs.
