Marina Schmidt, RDH, MPH

Professional headshot of Marina SchmidtMarina Schmidt, RDH, MPH, earned her B.S degree in dental hygiene at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry (UMSOD), and her Master’s in Public Health at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Ms. Schmidt has a clinical teaching role with senior students at the UMSOD and is the course director for the Oral Histology and Embryology course DHYG 312H. In addition to her role in academia, Ms. Schmidt serves as the Dental Screening and Sealant Program Coordinator for the Harford County Public School System and provides clinical dental hygiene services for the Harford County Health Department Dental Clinic. 

She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienist Association (ADHA) and the American Public Health Association. Her scholarly work includes presenting scientific posters at the ADHA Annual Conference and at the Annual Public Health Research Maryland Conference. She also enjoys working on grant research projects at the UMSOD, which focus on increasing access to dental care for underserved populations.
