UMSOD students and faculty collaborators build on our school’s long-standing commitment to local and global engagement.

UMSOD partners with a robust network of organizations and non-profits. Some current local and global collaborators include:

  • Global Health Student Association

The Global Health Student Association's mission is to provide local public service and global engagement opportunities, in collaboration with other organizations, to UMSOD students via culturally enriching programs and humanitarian missions on a local and international scale. Through our 3 pillars - International Missions, Cultural Education, and Local Missions & Community Education - this organization seeks to make a global and local impact on our communities!

Come out and join us as we work closely with the Rotaract Club and Operation Smile to volunteer on mission trips, participate in local community service events, and create opportunities for cultural education via our Facts n' Snacks Guest Lecture series and presentations!

  • Maryland State Dental Association

UMSOD collaborates regularly with our MSDA colleagues. Our collaborations with MSDA enable students, faculty and staff to advance oral health for patients, dental professionals and others.
  • Rotary International and Rotaract Club of UMSOD

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change-across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Rotary is made up of three parts: Rotary clubs, Rotary International, and The Rotary Foundation. There are 35,000+ Rotary clubs worldwide, and they unite dedicated people to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action.

Rotary International supports Rotary clubs worldwide by coordinating global programs and initiatives.

The Rotary Foundation helps fund our humanitarian activities, from local service projects to global initiatives.

Rotaract Club of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry was certified in Spring 2020. Its members aim to provide community and international services, develop leadership and professional skills, and build connections worldwide.
