School of Dentistry students take third in Maryland Dental Hygienists’ Association Well Being Committee,'It's Hygienic' competition

It's Hygienic competition 2016

The University of Maryland School of Dentistry’s team took third place March 5 at the Maryland Dental Hygienists’ Association Well Being Committee, “It’s Hygienic” competition.

The team, competing in a board-reviewed competition at Howard Community College, won $250 for the School of Dentistry’s Dental Hygiene Program.

The students who participated are –Katie Dingle, Hannah Fleming,  Kristen Hammett, Natalie Ness and Erin Wheeler; all seniors in our program.

The students were led by School of Dentistry faculty member mentors MaryAnn T. Schneiderman, RDH, MS;  and Deborah L. Cartee, RDH, MS.

In addition, Director Marion C. Manski, RDH, MS, faculty member Cynthia Finfrock, RDH, BS and other  junior and senior students were on hand to cheer for the School of Dentistry team.
