Clinical Assistant Professor Thuy Tien Swiec, DDS, graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1984. After graduation, she served in the Armed Forces Dental Corps and was stationed in Europe and in several locations in the U.S. In 2002, she joined the faculty of the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry, as an assistant professor in operative dentistry.

Dr. Swiec became an assistant professor of operative dentistry in the Department of Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at UNSOD in 2008. She joined the Department of General Dentistry in 2013. In addition, Swiec also serves as the School of Dentistry's biosafety officer.
