About the Advanced General Dentistry Clinic
Advanced General Dentistry is a post-doctoral clinic that offers comprehensive dental care, including routine cleanings and exams, fillings, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, dentures, and treatment of more complex general dentistry cases.
In this clinic, dentists who have completed dental school and are receiving 1-2 additional years of training in advanced general dentistry provide treatment under the supervision of faculty dentists. Fees at the Advanced General Dentistry Clinic are slightly higher than at the Pre-Doctoral Clinics, though they are still lower than the fees charged by dentists in private practice.

Clinic Attendance Policy for Patients
To best accommodate all our patients please read:
We understand that sometimes you need to change or reschedule your dental appointment due to an unexpected situation or an emergency; however, when you are unable to keep your reserved appointment, please call us as soon as possible with at least 24-hour notice. You can change your reserved appointment by calling our office during regular business hours.
To ensure that each patient is given the proper amount of time allotted for their visit, and to provide the highest quality care, it is very important for each scheduled patient to arrive on time.
Dental appointments are in high demand so we will reserve another appointment for you up to two times, but cannot guarantee how soon it will be.
If you fail to show OR change your appointment without 24-hour advance notice, a fee of $50.00 will be applied to your account. You will not be able to schedule another appointment until the fee is paid in full.
As a courtesy, appointment reminders and confirmation calls will be made.
Fees and Insurance
The Advanced General Dentistry Clinic has a fee structure that is designed to be generally less than fees charged in private practice settings in our area.
Within the School of Dentistry, our fees are higher than those charged in the predoctoral dental clinics because treatment is provided by graduate dentists in our advanced training program, but usually less than the fees charged in the Advanced Specialty Education Clinics.
Medical Assistance
The Advanced General Dentistry Clinic does not participate with the Medical Assistance Dental Program. Patients who participate with the State of Maryland Healthy Smiles program should call 410-706-7101 for more information.
Patients may also call 410-706-7063 to make a screening appointment to become a patient of the pre-doctoral dental clinic.
Using the latest materials and treatments, the Advanced General Dentistry Clinic provides a full range of general dental care services. Graduate dentists work independently, but are under the general supervision of faculty.
Services provided include:
- diagnostic services (exams, x-rays)
- preventive (cleanings)
- restorations (fillings)
- cosmetic (tooth colored fillings, veneers)
- periodontal treatment
- endodontics (root canal treatment)
- extractions
- dentures
- implant placement and restoration, and more
If your treatment needs are more complex than is possible to treat in our clinic, your treatment would be referred to one of our specialty clinics for dental care.
