We Received a House
Retired faculty member Sue-Ning Barry donated her house in Timonium, Md., to the School of Dentistry. The $275,000 the school received from the sale of the home will support groundbreaking research projects being conducted by the Department of Neural and Pain Sciences.
8 New Scholarships
Alumni established eight new scholarships during the past year. By taking advantage of the University of Maryland, Baltimore Foundation’s matching program, the school received $472,109 in new scholarship dollars.
Donations Help Patients
Generous donors provided $21,710 specifically for patient care; the funds will support the uncompensated and undercompensated care UMSOD students, faculty and staff provide for underserved Maryland residents.
22 Percent Increase
The School of Dentistry enjoyed a 22 percent increase in the number of donors, compared to last fiscal year. Thank you!
Donors Contribute Generously
The Class of 1985 donated the largest amount of money, $32,600, while the Classes of 1979 and 1980 tied for the highest number of donations, with 18.
