Philip A. Gentry, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Gentry is a Fellow of The Academy of General Dentistry and Summa Cum Laude graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, The Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and The Academy of General Dentistry. He was voted one of The Washington D.C. area’s Top Dentists by Washingtonian Magazine, voted a top dentist in Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine and Arlington Magazine. He is listed in The Guide to America’s Top Dentists. Dr. Gentry’s wife is a dentist, and daughter is a 2021 graduate of The University of Maryland School of Dentistry.

Dr. Gentry served for 10 years on Dean’s Faculty in The Advanced Education in General Dentistry Department at The University of Maryland in Baltimore, and was awarded The University of Maryland School of Dentistry’s Honorary Alumnus Award.  Dr. Gentry is currently a part-time faculty member in The Department of Dental Public Health, teaching and supervising 4^th year dental students and residents treating patients in the clinic at The University of Maryland Dental Clinic at Shady Grove.
