Course Description

The lecture is of two parts: the first part will cover the oral manifestations of systemic diseases and conditions this includes but not limited to nutritional, hematologic, metabolic, endocrine, gastro-intestinal, connective tissue, granulomatous, infectious, cutaneous, and drug induced manifestations. The second part of the lecture will cover the possible hypotheses of correlation between periodontal disease and systemic diseases and conditions and literature yet available.

Course Objectives

During this lecture participants will:

  • Understand the oral manifestations of systemic conditions
  • The correlation of periodontal disease and systemic conditions.
