Nearly 200 dental and hygiene students and residents attended the third annual University of Maryland School of Dentistry Vendor Expo on Jan. 13. Nineteen Vendor Expo sponsors presented information about cutting-edge dental products and services during the expo, which was organized by the Office of Institutional Advancement. The event, which included a raffle of items donated by vendors, was a fundraiser for the Student Dental Association.

Students and residents visited vendor tables set up throughout the Grand Atrium to gather information about a myriad of products and services, including dental implants, loupes, practice management services and insurance.

Lindsay RobertsLindsay Roberts, DDS '15, enjoyed seeing the variety of loupes available from four different loupe vendors. "It is really helpful to get some exposure to the new products that are coming out. This is a great opportunity to try everything," she states.

Ryan HeraldFor Ryan Herald, DDS '17, the Vendor Expo highlighted the wide range of different dental supply companies that are available. "It is important to educate yourself about these products so that you can be a savvier consumer," Herald says.
