Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS)

Current students and graduates applying to programs through PASS should complete the PASS e-Forms on-line application. 

Graduates who would like to request an institutional evaluation from Dr. Carroll-Ann Trotman, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, please note the following:
a) Send curriculum vitae and personal statement to Dr. Trotman c/o Ms. Theresa Pate (e-mail - tpate@umaryland.edu; mailing address:  Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, 650 West Baltimore Street, Rm 6421, Baltimore, MD 21201; fax - 410-706-0406);
b) Contact Theresa Pate or Maggie Shamer (e-mail mshamer@umaryland.edu) if you have questions about the process or if you need information relating to the processing of your evaluation (410-706-7483);
c) Allow a minimum of three (3) weeks for processing.

If requested, an expedited PASS form may be completed for graduates within five (5) days, but will not contain comments from Dr. Trotman.  The form will include gpa, class rank, and National Board information only.

Requests from current senior students are processed after July 15.  Current students may contact Ms. Pate to determine their cumulative gpa and rank.  Please be aware that grade changes processed after the mailing may affect the actual rank submitted at the time the Institutional Evaluation Form is completed.

Applications for Non-PASS Programs

Graduates and current students applying to non-PASS programs should contact Ms. Theresa Pate by e-mail or fax (410-706-0406).   Please provide a typed mailing label for each program containing the name of the program director and complete address.   A resume or personal statement should be submitted to Ms. Pate for an Institutional Evaluation Form.  Your request will be processed by Ms. Maggie Shamer within three weeks and the letters will be mailed directly to the program directors  by Ms. Theresa Pate.  An expedited form without comments may be sent within five days.  The expedited form will include gpa, class rank, and National Board information only.
