Student Financial Assistance & Education
Our goal is to provide assistance to any student who seeks assistance in obtaining funding to finance their educational cost. We believe that all students should develop a spending plan and make wise decisions before borrowing any money to finance their education. The university financial aid programs have been developed to help students who have academic potential and limited financial resources. The programs are specifically directed at helping those students who would not be able to complete their education without support. Approximately 80% of university students receive assistance through our office.
Annually, approximately $130 million in financial assistance is processed for eligible students, from a variety of sources included by not limited to institutional grants/scholarships and loans, Maryland Higher Education Commissions Office of Student Financial Assistance, Federal Student Aid Programs (Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work Study, Federal Loan programs).
