Teaching Elective, Part 1 and 2

This Course will be primarily lecture and small group discussion regarding philosophies of teaching, teaching techniques, including incorporation of technology in the classroom, and public speaking. The successful completion of this course (Part 1) will permit the student to take Part 2 (spring semester), which will involve curriculum development, including construction of test questions, and interviews with existing faculty regarding their teaching philosophies and techniques and will culminate in the student presenting a very short lesson, followed by appropriate evaluations.

All sessions for Part 1 of the Teaching Elective are from 8:00-10:00 am in room 7105
