| Graduate Programs Graduate Programs in Biomedical Sciences (BS) and Oral and Experimental Pathology provide broad training in research leading to a Doctor of Philosophy degree. These programs are structured to provide contemporary education and training in various aspects of cell and molecular biology, infectious disease and immune function, neurosciences, and the mechanisms and events of human disease related to the craniofacial complex. The PhD in BS may be taken alone, combined into a DDS/PhD program, or combined with a specialty program by qualified students. Many of the students in specialty programs also enroll in a Master of Science program. A National Institutes of Health Training Program in Oral and Craniofacial Biology, and funds from the Dean's office, support selected PhD and DDS/PhD students.
