The Student Technology Center (STC) is located in room 5250 and used by students and faculty for independent study, scanning documents, access to the Internet, Email and various campus databases.
The GoPrint Pay-Per-Print system is used in the Center. The cost is $.10 per page for black/white copies and $.25 per page for color copies. The STC has a total of 17 computers of which 7 have access to Axium and Romexis with Land phone service; 1 Mac; 2 black and white printers and one color laser printer; 2 scanners for flat copy or radiographs; one slide scanner for converting 2 X 2 slides to digital images; 1 TV/VCR combination unit; 2 portable large screen projection systems with computers on carts and 1 photo copier supported by Auxillary Services. The STC also has ethernet jacks for use with laptops and comfortable lounge chairs adjacent to jacks. Problems assocaited with computers, laptops, printers, passwords, AxIum, etc. should be referred to the Dental School Help Desk located on the Ground Floor, G426, M - F, 8 - 5, 410-706-2084 or by emailing dshelp@umaryland.edu. The STC is open 24/7 using card access and staff are available for assistance from 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday.
