- Why am I NOT receiving an email from a user that sent me one?
The first thing to check is your emails from datacomm. They contain a link that points to your new and old email addresses in the SPAM filtering appliance. If you find them you can release the email to your mailbox. If the email was sent with an attachment. XXXX If that does not work contact the help desk at dshelp@umaryland.edu or 62084
- How do I create a signature for my email?
Creating a signature for your new email address
- How do I add an email disclaimer to all emails I send?
You follow the instructions for creating a signature and add the disclaimer after your signature
- What is the size of my emailbox?
All mailboxes we increased storage space for email; they were doubled from 50MB to 100MB.
- Why am I having problems sending and receiving ATTACHMENTS?
If you are sending or receiving and email with one of the following attachments: *.bat, *.cmd, *.com, *.cpl, *.exe, *.js, *.pi, *.pif, *.scr, *.vb, *.vbs and *.zip you will have problems sending and receiving emails! This is how viruses may bypass our security policies so use caution and only follow these procedures with a trusted source. A trusted source is someone who maintains their computer system with the latest patches, service packs, virus definitions and spyware removal tools. If you require email access to one of these file types rename the file to a different extension. For example: rename file largefile.zip to largefile.zi_ and email it to the destination and include instructions on how to rename it back to it's origional name.
