Contributions to the Department of Orthodontics
and/or the Dental School: Checks must be made payable to the "UMB Foundation." This is the foundation that administers all Dental School contributions and the funds of all of the schools on the UMB campus. If a specific donation is being made to the Department of Orthodontics, donors must also indicate, in the memo portion of the check, which of the department's two funds they wish their gift to support. The first fund is the "Orthodontic Department Fund." This allows the department's chair the most flexibility for its use in supporting all departmental functions. However, if someone wants their gift restricted to support the Post Graduate program only, then the individual must be sure to mark their check accordingly for the second fund, "Orthodontics Post-Graduate Program." The donation will be fully credited to the specified fund! The foundation, which processes gifts, cannot know what the donor's intention is unless specified. Gifts made payable to the "UMB Foundation" but missing any other indication of gift intention, are directed to the Dean's Fund. Or Alumni and Friends Endowed Chair in
