Biographical Information

  Leonard A. Cohen, DDS, MPH, MS is a professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Policy. Dr. Cohen received his dental degree from Howard University College of Dentistry, and his Master of Public Health and Master of Science in Behavioral Sciences from the Harvard School of Public Health. He also completed a Residency in Dental Public Health and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Dental Ecology at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Cohen's dental delivery systems research has involved national and state studies of the use of expanded function dental auxiliaries, pit and fissure sealants, attitudes and behaviors of dentists and consumers related to AIDS, use of hospital emergency departments for dental problems, as well as other delivery system topics. Dr. Cohen has been active in numerous professional organizations and has published widely in the dental literature.
