Clinics & Patient Care The University of Maryland School of Dentistry offers patients a full range of high quality general, specialty, and emergency dental care. The School's mission is to improve the quality of life in Maryland through education, research and service related to health, with special emphasis on improving dental, oral and craniofacial health through comprehensive education, research and service programs. |  |
Admissions The Office of Admissions coordinates recruitment activities and manages the application and admissions processes for the following programs: Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dental Hygiene, and Advanced Dental Education. The School of Dentistry seeks to enroll the highest caliber of students who will become exemplary health care professionals. |  |
Office of the Dean Responds to all calls to the Dean and directs questions and calls to the appropriate school resources. Greets and directs all visitors to all offices housed in the Dean's Suite, sixth floor area. Disseminates all mail to appropriate offices, schedules all room reservation requests and coordinates all school-wide events. |  |
Academic Affairs Academic Affairs manages registration and grading procedures for the School of Dentistry's professional programs. It is the source of student information about the academic program and is the repository for records of student academic performance. |  |
Continuing Education Continuing dental education for dentists and dental hygienists is a core value of the School of Dentistry. This commitment to lifelong learning extends to the oral health professionals in Maryland and the neighboring states in the Mid-Atlantic region. Technical Services Technical Services repairs dental chairs, x-rays, hand pieces, lab equipment, hall lockers, and directs people to who they should contact for any other problems that may come up in the building. |  |
Facilities Facility Management: Areas of responsibilities include ensuring proper operation of the building mechanical and electrical systems; generating work orders for repairs to the building and fixed equipment; manage parking allocations; point of contact for telephone, security, and Environmental Health and Safety and building capital inventory issues. |  |
