Karl Pick, DDS '66
Born in Aruba, Dutch Caribbean, Karl Pick, DDS '66, MSD, graduated in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and chemistry from the University of Michigan, earned his DDS in 1966 from the University of Maryland Dental School and his MSD in Orthodontics in 1970 from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
He served in the U.S. Navy, 1966 to 1968 and had a private practice from 1970 to 2011. He joined the Dean's Faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1997 and continues in that role.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Maryland State Association of Orthodontics, where he served as president; and the Anne Arundel county Dental Society, where he served as president.
His honors and awards include inclusion in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society; the Gorgas Odontological Society and being a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.
