The Dental School strives to offer the finest dental education programs in the world and to develop in all students the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed to achieve individual educational objectives. BCDS programs combine a strong base of biological sciences and an outstanding clinical education, with a focus on application of the latest research findings. The clinical simulation unit and clinical facilities which were renovated in 1990 provide a state-of-the-art environment for learning and patient care. In addition to the D.D.S. program, the school offers: baccalaureate and master's programs in dental hygiene; programs leading to a graduate degree in oral and craniofacial biological sciences, oral biology and oral pathology; combined D.D.S./Ph.D. programs; advanced dental education programs in the specialties and general dentistry; and a continuing education program for health care professionals.
