Policies

The mission of the Core Imaging Facility is to serve the research community on the UMB campus. The pricing policy is reviewed annually by the steering committee to ensure that the service charges reflect the running costs of the facility.
This facility does not generate revenue. Our goal is to make electron microscopy services affordable to all researchers. High-volume usage of the Core Facility will make the management more cost-effective, which translates to lower charges incurred by each user.
We encourage researchers on campus to become Facility Members and to explore modern EM techniques in their research.
The Facility regularly organize events such as seminars and workshops to introduce the EM-related information to our research community. Check out the latest EM Facility event in 2009.
