To Access Core Imaging Facility and Equipment The Electron Microscopy Core Facility and the School of Dentistry Confocal Facility are located on the 9th and 8th floor of the school of dentistry building. The normal opening hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is always a good idea to schedule an appointment or call ahead to inform facility staff of your approximate arrival time. Off hour access of the facility is available but need to be pre-arranged with Facility staff. |  |
For University of Maryland Users
Enter the school of dentistry through ground floor entrance (Baltimore street level), turn right afer the security door, follow the hallway, pass through another security door on your left and take the elevator to the 9th floor. Turn right at the 9th floor atrium, pass a double glass door and take the corridor all the way to the end. For visitors without security clearance to enter the research area, ring the doorbell by the entrance to notify facility staff of your arrival.
Take the elevator to the 8th floor, turn left at the 8th floor atrium, go through the workstation and office area, pass a double glass door, turn right and enter the NORTH (left) side of the research area. Registered users will be given access to the confocal microscope room. |  |
For Outside users without a University ID Please stop by the security desk either at the ground level or the first level, call the facility or ask the security guard to call 706-7992. A staff member will come down to lead you to the facility. |  |
